What are HA Fillers and how do they work?

Juvederm is a hyaluronic-acid filler suspended in a gel. Restylane is also known as Restylane. This gel helps the injection of hyaluronic Acid stay in its place. The hyaluronic acid works immediately by pulling in water, therefore, increasing the volume where injected. This is great for moderate to deeper wrinkles and folds of the face or areas where more volume is desired like cheeks or lips. These fillers dissolve naturally and can last up to one year, with some lasting even longer.

Aesthetic medicine is a broad term for specialties that focus on altering cosmetic appearance through the treatment of conditions including scars, skin laxity, wrinkles, moles, liver spots, excess fat, cellulite, unwanted hair, skin discoloration, and spider veins. [1] Traditionally, it includes dermatology, oral and maxillofacial surgery, reconstructive surgery and plastic surgery,[2] surgical procedures (liposuction, facelifts, breast implants, Radio frequency ablation), non-surgical procedures (radio frequency skin tightening, non- surgical liposuction, chemical peel, high-intensity focused electromagnetic field, radio frequency fat removal), and a combination of both.[3] Aesthetic medicine procedures are usually elective.[4]

About Kansas City

Kansas City (abbreviated KC or KCMO) is the largest city in Missouri by population and area. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 508,090 in 2020,[6] making it the 36th most-populous city in the United States. It is the most populated municipality of the Kansas City metropolitan area, which straddles the KansasMissouri state line and has a population of 2,392,035.[7][2] The city borders Johnson County and Kansas City, Kansas (Wyandotte County) in Kansas. Most of the city lies within Jackson County, with portions spilling into Clay, Cass, and Platte counties. Kansas City was founded in the 1830s as a port on the Missouri River at its confluence with the Kansas River coming in from the west. On June 1, 1850, the town of Kansas was incorporated; shortly after came the establishment of the Kansas Territory. Confusion between the two ensued, and the name Kansas City was assigned to distinguish them soon after.

Sitting on Missouri's western boundary with Kansas, with Downtown near the confluence of the Kansas and Missouri Rivers, the city encompasses about 319.03 square miles (826.3 km2), making it the 23rd largest city by total area in the United States. It serves as one of the two county seats of Jackson County, along with the major suburb of Independence. Other major suburbs include the Missouri cities of Blue Springs and Lee's Summit and the Kansas cities of Overland Park, Olathe, Lenexa, and Kansas City, Kansas.

The city is composed of several neighborhoods, including the River Market District in the north, the 18th and Vine District in the east, and the Country Club Plaza in the south. Celebrated cultural traditions include Kansas City jazz; theater, as a center of the Vaudevillian Orpheum circuit in the 1920s; the Chiefs and Royals sports franchises; and famous cuisine based on Kansas City-style barbecue, Kansas City strip steak, and craft breweries.

What are Neurotoxins?

Botox

and Dysport are injectable neurotoxins which can temporarily improve wrinkle appearance. Repeated muscle contractions can result in facial lines and wrinkles becoming deeper and more severe over time. Botox or Dysport temporarily weakens these muscle contractions, making the skin appear smoother.

Common areas of treatment include forehead, frown lines, crows' feet, and the chin. Although results are visible in a few days following treatment, the effects will last for two weeks. If the dose is correct, results can last up to four weeks.

What is Dermaplane exactly?

Dermaplaning uses a surgical-grade blade that is medical-grade to remove the skin's surface layer of dead cells, debris, and hair. A single session can remove about 2-3 weeks worth of built up dead skin cells or debris. Dermplane is painless and non-invasive. While it looks similar to shaving, Dermplane is far more effective as the blade is able to reach the top of the skin. There's no reason to be concerned about your hair becoming darker. Dermaplaning works on the vellus (peach fuzz), and the hair grows back exactly the same size. It doesn't give the illusion that the hair is thicker because of the way it is cut. This procedure is painless and requires no downtime.

What is a Chemical Peel?

A chemical peel refers to a treatment that uses a chemical solution to exfoliate the top layers of skin. Chemical peels can improve skin texture and radiance as well as reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. They also help decongest and treat acne-prone skin. Chemical peels can be performed in three strengths: deep, medium, or superficial. Improvement in the skin varies depending on your concerns and which peel is selected to address your needs. To achieve the best results, it is advisable to use multiple treatments.

This is a review for medical spas in Kansas City, MO:
"I've been to about a dozen different medical spas and plastic surgery offices across the country, and this one has been my absolute favorite so far. Great customer service, very knowledgeable staff, good products and incredible prices. I was paying almost $100 more for a single chemical peel/hydrafacial at other medical spas and still wasn't getting the results I got from visiting Mia Bella. Not only are the estheticians friendly and thorough, but they take their time on your procedures (low light, relaxing music) and really make a practical, result-driven procedure feel like a trip to the spa. Oh, and I received derma planning at the beginning of each procedure for no extra cost (typically a $50 charge at other places)"
