What are HA Fillers?
Juvederm, Restylane and other hyaluronic acids fillers are suspended in a gel carrier. This gel helps the injection of hyaluronic Acid stay in its place. The hyaluronic Acid immediately draws in water to increase the volume of the area where it is injected. This is a great option for wrinkles, deep folds and other areas that need more volume such as cheeks and lips. These fillers dissolve easily and last for up to a year.
Aesthetic medicine is a broad term for specialties that focus on altering cosmetic appearance through the treatment of conditions including scars, skin laxity, wrinkles, moles, liver spots, excess fat, cellulite, unwanted hair, skin discoloration, and spider veins. Kansas City (abbreviated KC or KCMO) is the largest city in Missouri by population and area. What are Neurotoxins and how can they be avoided?
Botox
and Dysport are injectable neurotoxins which can temporarily improve wrinkle appearance. Repetitive muscle contractions can lead to facial lines and wrinkles that get deeper and deeper over time. Botox, Dysport and Dysport temporarily relax these muscle contractions. The skin will appear smoother.
Common areas to treat include the forehead and frown lines. Results can be seen starting in just a couple of days after treatment but will continue to work gradually over two weeks. Results can last up four months if taken as directed.
What is Sculptra?
Sculptra uses poly-L lactic acids to slowly restore facial volume. When injected, it stimulates your skin's natural ability gradually to make collagen. The poly-L-lactic acids is gradually biodegraded over several months and replaced by a network of new collagen. The areas that may be treated include the temples, cheeks or nasolabialfolds as well as the jawline. Most initially will require three treatments over a couple of months and then just one treatment annually. These results can last longer than two years.
What is Kybella, exactly?
Kybella is an injection that can permanently destroy fat cells. One to five Kybella vials may be required depending on the amount of fat. Multiple sessions may be required. The submental fat, otherwise known as a double chin, is the most common area that requires treatment. Once an aesthetic goal is reached, treatment can be stopped.
