What are HA fillers, exactly?
Juvederm or Restylane are hyaluronic fillers that are suspended in gel carriers. This gel allows the hyaluronic acids to stay in place when injected. The hyaluronic acid works immediately by pulling in water, therefore, increasing the volume where injected. This works well for deeper to more severe wrinkles, folds, and areas of the face where more volume is needed. These fillers dissolve easily and last for up to a year.
Aesthetic medicine is a broad term for specialties that focus on altering cosmetic appearance through the treatment of conditions including scars, skin laxity, wrinkles, moles, liver spots, excess fat, cellulite, unwanted hair, skin discoloration, and spider veins. Kansas City (abbreviated KC or KCMO) is the largest city in Missouri by population and area. What are Neurotoxins, exactly?
Botox, Dysport and Dysport injectable neurotoxins can temporarily improve the appearance fine lines and wrinkles. Repetitive muscle contractions can cause wrinkles and lines to appear and grow over time. Botox/Dysport will temporarily decrease muscle contractions and make skin smoother.
Common areas to treat include the forehead and frown lines. Results can be seen starting in just a couple of days after treatment but will continue to work gradually over two weeks. When dosed appropriately results may last up to four months.
What is Sculptra, exactly?
Sculptra, a biostimulatory injectable made of poly-L–lactic acid, helps gradually restore facial volume. When injected, it stimulates your skin's natural ability gradually to make collagen. The polylactic acid will be biodegraded, and replaced with a network of new collagen after several months. The treatment areas include the jawline, cheeks and nasolabial folds. The majority of patients will need three treatments in the first few months, followed by one annual treatment. Results can last more than two years!
What is Kybella anyway?
Kybella can be used to permanently remove fat cells. Depending on the amount of fat present one to five vials of Kybella may be needed during a single treatment session and multiple treatment sessions may be necessary. Submental fat, also known as the 'double chin', is the most common area for treatment. Once the desired aesthetic goal has been achieved, treatment can be stopped.
